Mini Golden Eye Ring size 5 1/2
Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Fill
Each eyeball will vary in appearance as they are each individually built by hand. The iris’ are made out of 14k Gold Fill and are each forged with 45-50 individual hammer strikes to make up the disc, iris lines and pupils. The lids are made convexed in sterling around the iris for a 3-dimensional look. The edges are scalloped with a saw and then meticulously needle filed to finish. The ring shanks are thick and sturdy. Every shank was hand forged and rolled through a mill to soften the edges. Each ring has a small bear on the reverse side as my makers mark emblem.
The ring in the last photograph is the ring you’ll receive.
Note: In order for Gold Fill to live up to its purity it must be used in a cold connection only. The iris in these rings have been heat treated therefore they will tarnish. By heat treating Gold Fill, the copper rises to the surface (hence the orange patina that will develop over time.) Store in a sealed box or bag when not in use and use a jewelry polishing cloth to clean your ring.
